1. Identification

Coucou Germaine is a vintage design objects trading and brokerage activity, based in Brussels, Belgium.

VAT status: Coucou Germaine operates under the small business VAT exemption scheme in Belgium (Article 56bis of the Belgian VAT Code). No VAT is applied to sales or services.

2. Scope

These terms apply to all services offered by Coucou Germaine: Personal shopper (personalised search), Consignment (sale on consignment), House clearance (support during a move or estate settlement), For professionals (sourcing for professionals).

Placing any order or mission implies unconditional acceptance of these conditions.

3. Nature of objects

All objects offered for sale are second-hand, vintage or collectible items. They naturally bear traces of use, ageing and imperfections inherent to their age and history. These characteristics do not constitute defects in the legal sense.

4. Pricing and payment

Prices are indicated in euros, inclusive of all taxes. Shipping costs are borne by the buyer.

Accepted payment methods: bank transfer, cash (in-person collection only), Payconiq, PayPal, credit card via Shopify Payments.

Full payment is required before any shipment or handover of the object.

5. Delivery

In-person collection in Brussels (Saint-Gilles) is preferred. Shipping is available throughout Europe via Bpost, DPD, Mondial Relay or specialist carriers depending on object size.

Shipping costs are communicated before confirmation of the sale. Delivery times are indicative and Coucou Germaine cannot be held liable for delays attributable to the carrier.

Ownership of the object transfers to the buyer upon receipt of full payment. Transport risks transfer to the buyer upon handover of the object to the carrier.

6. Returns and complaints

In accordance with applicable legislation, you have 14 days from receipt of the object to exercise your right of withdrawal, without having to provide a reason. To exercise this right, contact us in writing at hello@coucougermaine.com within this period, stating your order number.

After this 14-day period, any return request is reviewed on a case-by-case basis and requires prior written agreement from Coucou Germaine. Detailed return and refund conditions are available in our Return Policy.

If the object received presents a significant and unmentioned difference from its description, contact us within 48 hours with supporting photographs. This case is handled separately from the standard right of withdrawal.

7. Personal data

Personal data collected is used exclusively within the commercial relationship and is never shared with third parties. In accordance with GDPR, any person may request access, rectification or deletion of their data by contacting hello@coucougermaine.com.

8. Applicable law

These conditions are governed by Belgian law. In the event of a dispute, the parties undertake to seek an amicable solution. Failing that, the courts of Brussels shall have sole jurisdiction.
